Application Process:
Personal interviews with faculty and residents are the most important part of the application process. Rose Family Medicine Residency uses the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). We do NOT accept paper applications. Applications are due in ERAS by November 24th, 2010.
A completed application consists of the following:
- Application
- Official transcript
- 3 letters of reference (at least ONE from a U.S. Family Medicine physician who has supervised you clinically)
- USMLE or COMLEX scores (you MUST post a passing score on both Steps 1 and 2 before we can consider you for the Match. We require a passing score on the FIRST attempt)
- Personal Statement indicating why you are interested in Family Medicine
- Dean's letter (these are posted by the medical schools on November 1st; we begin to schedule interviews prior to receiving the Dean's letters)
Once the application materials have been received and favorably reviewed, an interview may be scheduled. You will be notified by email. Interviews are by invitation only. You should allow at least one hour of travel time to reach the airport from downtown Denver. The Rose program interviews on Tuesdays and Thursdays (and some Fridays) from November 9, 2010 until January 28, 2011; the interview day generally lasts about six hours.
Email Pamela.Sullivan@HealthONEcares.com for additional information about the program or the interview process.
