Tammy Myers, MD
Hi. I joined the Rose Family Medicine Residency as faculty in 2007. I have had the great fortune of living in and exploring many parts of this vast and beautiful country. I received my undergraduate degree from Michigan State University then headed south. After working in pharmacology research, I was accepted in the school of medicine at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. When I completed my residency in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, I headed back south to practice full spectrum family medicine with operative obstetrics in rural southwest Georgia.
With a desire to teach and model family medicine to rising family doctors, I joined the faculty at Southwest Georgia Family Medicine Residency in 2002. Now I live with my husband and our three amazing dogs in sunny Colorado. I love what it means to be a family doctor, a teacher, and a mentor. And always searching for balance, I try to carve out a little extra time for music, art, hiking, organic gardening, and advocating for animals.
