Jeremy Orr, MD, MPH
I am proud to be a 2004 graduate and former Chief Resident at Rose Family Medicine. Mark Twain said to "Never let school interfere with your education" but I have had to comply with some formal education programs to get where I am: Bachelors in Biology and Math at SUNY Binghamton, Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology at Tulane, Med School at SUNY Buffalo. My wife (an Internist who trained at University of Colorado) and I headed to Colorado for adventure and residency in 2001 and now can't imagine living anywhere else.
Prior to joining the Rose Faculty in 2011, I variously worked for Kaiser Permanente, did urgent care, and started a practice that is now home to multiple providers. Throughout it all, I have maintained an interest in improving patient care and safety through better use of Health IT – and served as a Medical Director for McKesson Provider Technologies and as a private consultant to hospitals and clinics all over the US.
Outside of medicine, I savor my time with my wife and my son and daughter. I also love to run and swim, and have completed several marathons and triathlons. I am also an avid reader, and try hard to play guitar like Jimmy Page.
