Brian Bacak, MD, FAAFP
Residency Director
Dr. Bacak came to the Rose Family Medicine Residency in October 2003 from Eisenhower Army Medical Center, in Augusta, Georgia, where he was teaching faculty at the Family Medicine residency program located there. While in the military, he served in many locations, to include several tours in Georgia, time in Wiesbaden, Germany, and time in Afghanistan. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at Martin Army Hospital at Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1997, after graduating from medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He has been the Program Director for the Rose Program since 2006. His many interests include obstetrical ultrasound and leadership in medicine. He has authored articles on a wide variety of topics and is an active contributor to the PEPID Primary Care Plus electronic education platform. He has completed fellowships in Leadership and Program Director Administration. He is currently the Board Chair for the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians, and the immediate past-president. Brian is a golf fanatic and he and his wife Laura enjoy downhill skiing, travel, and ballroom dancing. Favorite golf course: Lundin Links, Scotland. Favorite ski area: Chair 6, Breckenridge, backside of Vail and several areas at Beaver Creek. Favorite resort area to relax and disappear: Keystone. Favorite ski clinic to sit at and watch a family member be attended to: Keystone (sorry Laura).
